May 27 - Tok, Alaska

I woke up the next morning in Teslin, to see this phenomenon in the sky that was like a colorless rainbow!
Some birds were enjoying a rest on a tiny rock!
It was beautiful!
On the road again, I could see the mountains rising above the fog.
The mountains make me feel so small, like a bug on the road.
The snow has not started melting at the top of the mountains yet.
More beauty!
The road seems to go on forever!
I saw many buffalo along the road,
and starting to bloom along the road, pasque flowers and lupine.
The road seems to go on forever
That sign says I'm traveling on the Alaskan/Canadian Highway!
That's my trailer in Alaska! I drove 414 miles today, but since I left home on May 17th, I've driven 3,946 miles!
Tok is a very small town! The airport is right next to the campground.
Instead of fire places, this campground had these wood barrel stoves in which you burn pine cones!

I was so happy to be out of Canada and able to camp in a campground that didn't have signs posted saying, "No Americans Permitted!"

On the grounds of the campground Lupine was growing. Here you can see droplets of water balanced in the middle of the lupine leave fronds.
l
Here's the actual lupine.
Look at this cute little rocking reindeer!
This steel barrel was large enough to be a "cabin." You could rent it out for $45 a night!
I thought this was a cute restroom sign and inside the restroom there were all kinds of shampoos, soaps, hair dryers, and lotion to was off a long day on the road!
