The Kenai River where we will go fishing. See how clear the water is and how fast it is running?
Becky and I are going fishing for red (sockeye) salmon here.
The gulls are waiting to eat the salmon pieces the fishermen cut off (head, fins, guts, eggs)In the foreground in the black shirt is my friend Becky fishing.
This is the view from Becky and Linda's campsite!
Back at Becky and Linda's campsite, we filleted the fish and then Linda vacuum packs them, or they smoke them. Becky caught 3 fish. I only caught rocks, but I helped fillet the fish. I though the scales would be hard and crunchy, but actually the fish feels very smooth and slippery.Sometimes the atmosphere is such that it appears that the volcano is close enough to touch.
High tide.
Beautiful wild geraniums!
