May 21 - Montana

I had hoped to make it to Shelby, Montana today, but a snowstorm came up and I headed for shelter at the Three Forks KOA about 70 miles southeast of Helena, Montana.I ended up driving only 276 miles because of the storm.

I pulled into a campsite and plugged in the electric cord, then walked to the restroom and took a shower.

I walked by many trees with snow-covered branches and the road covered in snow.
I didn't mind being stopped by the storm because it was so beautiful!

The road is on the other side of the fence.

  Before my shower

   After my shower.

The snow fell softly.

There was hardly even a wind, so the snow made delicate patterns on the trees.

On the other side of that fence is the road.

There are my footprints in the snow.

The pine cone and needles looked so beautiful!

I spent the evening writing in my journal and reading in my warm and cozy trailer!
