This map shows where some cities are on the peninsula. Clam Gulch is on the Cook Inlet about 50 miles north of Homer and 20 miles south of Soldotna Because of the mountains it is 130 miles from Clam Gulch to Seward. Seward's harbors are on the open ocean. Anchorage is a 5 hour drive from Clam Gulch. Before going to the museum, I decided to try and find a waterfall I remembered from when Deborah and I were in Alaska in 2012. Surprise! It's still there. Here are a few different views of it as well as a short video.
Seward, just like Homer, has lots of outside art. This mural says that Seward's sister city is Obihiro, Japan. It says that artists from Obihiro created the mural.
The only whales I saw on my trip were these whales created with 6-sided figures.
Examples of sea life....more sea life....Welcome to the museum!
I didn't know how many different species of salmon there were until I came to Alaska! We caught Sockeye (Red) salmon. There's a dedicated phone line fisher people can call every morning to find out where each specie of salmon is located and how many there are swimming through the area. It's a race between the salmon and the fisher people.

The Star fish were in a 'touch tank.' Some felt smooth while others felt rough or bumpy.
Star fish are good at camouflaging.
The only dolphin I saw. It had a pretty big tank.
